Announcing No BS Pricing: Why We’re Transparent About Digital Marketing Prices

Share:

Ask ten digital marketing agencies what their services cost, and you’ll get one honest number and nine versions of “well, it depends.” We got tired of watching small business owners around Princeton, Hamilton, Lawrenceville, and towns across New Jersey leave those conversations more confused than when they walked in.

So we published our prices. Right on our website. No sales call required to find out what a real marketing plan actually costs.

We call ourselves the un-agency around here, a small business first and a marketing company second, and this pricing philosophy is where that shows up the clearest.

We didn’t do this as a stunt or a pricing page that quietly disappears once a salesperson gets you on the phone. This is how we run the business, day in and day out, because the alternative has frustrated business owners for years. Long before I joined Bcreative, it frustrated me too.

The “It Depends” Playbook

Before I joined Bcreative, I spent close to two decades in media sales, including years with national organizations like Advance Local and Townsquare Media, pitching multi-channel campaigns to businesses of every size and industry. I sat through the internal pricing conversations. I built the proposals. I know exactly how the “it depends” answer gets constructed, and it has nothing to do with your business being some unsolvable pricing puzzle.

Here’s what “it depends” actually means when a prospect asks for a number: “We haven’t decided yet how much we think we can get you to agree to.” That’s the whole secret. The vague answer serves one purpose. It buys the salesperson time to size you up, gauge your budget, and land on a figure based on what you’ll tolerate rather than what the work is actually worth.

There’s also the discovery call. You’ve probably sat through one. Forty-five minutes of questions about your goals, your competitors, your growth plans, questions that feel thoughtful in the moment but mostly exist to build a profile of what you can spend. I sat in enough sales training across my career to recognize the pattern the second I started seeing it from the buyer’s side instead of the seller’s.

Good marketing does depend on understanding a business, and none of that discovery is bad information to gather. The problem shows up when discovery gets used as a stalling tactic to delay the one number you actually called to get.

And then there’s the number itself once you finally get it.

Watch what happens a few months in when the scope conversation starts. Suddenly the plan that was “fully custom to your business” needs an add-on for reporting, or a separate line item for the strategy sessions, or an upcharge because your industry turned out to be “more competitive than initially assessed.” None of that is an accident. A pricing structure built on ambiguity at the front end tends to stay ambiguous for the life of the contract, because ambiguity is the business model.

What Actually Drives Digital Marketing Costs

To be fair, there isn’t one universal answer to how much digital marketing costs. Real differences exist from one client to the next.

The creative strategy for a dental practice in Hopewell looks different than the strategy for a contractor working out of Robbinsville. Audience targeting changes. Campaign goals change, more patient bookings versus more service calls versus building a waitlist of qualified buyers. All of that is genuine.

What doesn’t change nearly as much as the sales pitch would have you believe is the actual cost of producing the work. A managed Google Ads account requires roughly the same setup, monitoring, and monthly optimization whether you sell kitchen cabinets or handle personal injury cases.

A website build follows a similar process and timeline whether you’re a med spa in West Windsor or an HVAC company in Hamilton. The strategy gets customized to your business. The pricing structure underneath it rarely moves as much as the industry’s sales process would have you think, and that gap is exactly where the smoke and mirrors live.

No BS Pricing: What We Built

So here’s what we did differently. We built turnkey marketing packages around what small businesses across New Jersey actually need, then made our digital marketing pricing clear and easy to find right on our website.

Every published package spells out:

  • What channels are included (SEO, paid search, website management, social content, review generation)
  • What you actually get delivered each month, not just hours billed against a vague retainer
  • Where the price starts and what pushes it higher, laid out plainly before you ever have to ask

You can look at what a starter plan costs before you talk to anyone here. You can compare it against what you’re currently paying, or against other marketing agency quotes, and make an actual apples-to-apples decision. That’s the whole point. We would rather earn your business because the value is obvious than win it because you got worn down asking questions and just signed something to make the calls stop.

Turnkey Doesn’t Mean One Size Fits All

None of this means every business fits neatly into a box, and we’re not pretending they do. A law firm building its reputation in Princeton has different needs than an auto body repair shop trying to drive foot traffic in Lawrenceville. Our turnkey packages are built to be a real starting point, not a rigid template. Clients layer on additional services, adjust ad spend, or add something like an AI-powered chat agent for lead intake when it makes sense for their business.

The difference is you know the baseline cost going in. Any customization gets priced in the open, added to a number you already understand, rather than buried somewhere inside a proposal you have to decode with a business partner or an accountant.

Why NO BS Pricing is an Advantage in Business

For a small business owner, this translates into a few concrete advantages:

  • You can budget accurately instead of guessing.
  • You can bring a real number to your accountant or your partner before you commit to anything.
  • You can walk into a first conversation with us already informed, which means we spend that call talking about your actual goals instead of playing twenty questions to figure out what you can afford.

There’s also a trust dividend that compounds over time. When a prospect sees pricing on our site, then talks with us and hears the exact same numbers, that consistency tells them something about how we’ll operate once we’re actually managing their campaigns. Agencies that hide pricing until the final step of a sales process are, more often than not, hiding other things too.

It speeds up onboarding as well. Clients who come to us already having reviewed the packages arrive with clearer expectations, fewer surprises when the first invoice lands, and a head start on the strategy work instead of spending the first meeting negotiating a number. That time gets reinvested into the part of the relationship that actually grows a business: the campaigns themselves.

A quick word of caution that cuts the other direction: transparent pricing is not the same thing as rock bottom pricing, and a quote that looks too cheap to be real usually is. Cheap marketing budgets tend to buy cheap eyeballs, or none at all, and there is a reason those bargain rates exist. Our packages are priced to actually produce results (not to mention looking really good while achieving those results), not to win a race to the bottom.

The Bottom Line

We didn’t build this pricing model because transparency is trendy this year. We built it because after years on the other side of the sales table, and now years running our own shop for clients throughout Princeton, Hamilton, Robbinsville, Lawrenceville, Hopewell, and West Windsor, I got tired of watching good business owners get talked in circles. Marketing is complicated enough without the pricing conversation being part of the performance.

If you’re running a business in New Jersey and trying to make sense of digital marketing pricing, you can see exactly what our packages include and what they cost before you ever pick up the phone.

Compare them, customize them, or use them as the honest benchmark you bring into your next conversation with anyone else in this industry. We think the numbers speak for themselves. No dog and pony show required.

If you’re ready for a marketing partner that’s just as straightforward about the work as we are about the price, contact us and let’s get to work!
